Sao Mai in Nuremberg

This Vietnamese cuisine always has surprises in store: The flat rice noodles (lunch dish M2) in red Thai curry contain not only fried onions and peanuts, but also lettuce leaves - crazy stuff. But it tastes good. Dish M4 even more - with dark sauce and perfectly steamed vegetables. Both foods are very mild, but with accentuated flavors.

The food is just okay. But the service is friendly. Rice is a little bit dry. I think because of lockdown not so many people buy food outside?

Quick to prepare, delicious taste and slight changes to the lunch menu (pasta instead of rice) are also possible. Large portion is really big and filling up well. For coriander haters, an express warning at this point! And: Here is only real cash! No card payment possible.

The lunch menu is particularly recommended for good eaters. You get a large and freshly prepared portion for little money. Very tasty and top price-performance ratio!

During the lockdown, I ordered Golden curry with chiken. The price was 8.50 € and I was satisfied with the amount of chicken. It is not spicy at all even if it is eaten by ordinary or spicy people of CoCo Ichibanya, so it is recommended for people who are not good at spicy food.

Unexpectedly good. I just wanted to have a quick meal with my daughter, had no great expectations that day. But then we were absolutely impressed by the lovely ambience, the friendly service and the really tasty dishes.

The best curry I've ever eaten. My all time favorite Asian. The restaurant is very nice, the service is nice and the prices are relatively cheap.

LOCATION- 3/5 AMBIENCE-5/5 SERVICE- 5/5 COMFORT- 4/5 FOOD- 5/5 This was my first time tasting Vietnamese cuisine but with the help of my friend who has had it many times before I can say the food tastes ultra delicious!! Beware! The portions are very huge and it was unexpected so we had to pack and take it home. Don’t waste food 😊 The Pho is so comforting and warm food . Perfect for autumn and winters, I think. And the chicken pieces with mango sauce is also very delicious 🤤 Very good service and ambience. ❤️

We went here tonight and it was delicious! There were so many vegan options and the portions were generous. We were served very friendly and courteous. In addition, the Sao Mai is very lovingly furnished and decorated. Highly Recommended!

The restaurant is small but fine! It has indoor and outdoor areas with stylish decorations from 🇻🇳! The food is delicious and a lot! Price performance is acceptable because the portion is really huge! We were really full only with main courses. The owner is nice too! PS .: there is also bubble tea with different flavors, costs about 4.10 € / drink ... unfortunately I was too full, so I couldn't try the bubble tea 😅 Gladly come again to test

Tofu in the clay pot was very tasty - never eaten such good and soft tofu. Definitely a recommendation!

We have been to Sao Mai several times now and would love to come back! Very nicely decorated, nice service and delicious food! I can only recommend it! Today we were there for lunch and the portion was large, delicious as usual and, above all, freshly prepared and yet at the table very quickly. Absolutely reasonable in terms of price for lunch. So we'll do it more often.

Very tasty food, it doesn't taste like the average Asian. The food is fresh, the price is absolutely okay for the good quality and the service was extremely friendly, because of the wasps very concerned about our well-being and very attentive!

The restaurant is built very interesting. The dishes are served in really large portions and it tastes delicious! The restaurant is one of the best there is in Nuremberg. Price range also fits and the waiter is also very nice! Ll be back soon!

Nice service, nice atmosphere. Constructive criticism: Serve the sauces (e.g. fish sauce with the rice noodles) separately, so that not everything drowns and the individual components come out better 😉

The food was so delicious . The price of the food is cheaper than we have it in UK. Last Saturday we had a food in Sao Mai, the portion of the food is so big . Before my flight ,we also went to Sao Mai Restaurant had some dinner . I ordered a Vietnamess Spring Roll with Vermicelli , it was so good and crispy . Will go again if i flight to Nuremberg .

Absolutely a fan of the interior and authentic vibe! Very cute and original :) The food was also quite delicious and the staff was friendly. There were lots of vegetarian options as well. The only poor thing was that we had to wait for a long time to get our food. But still, I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone and hope this place will gain more attention!

Very friendly service. Atmosphere is cozy. The appetizers are really good! A no go is the restroom - > feels like a restroom made for kids.

At Sao Mai, first of all, the great interior design attracts attention. The food offer is very interesting, taste and quality were very good. The service was very friendly, the food was also fast. Since it moves more in the higher price segment, and the portions could have been a little bigger, only 4 stars. Nevertheless, a recommendation from me.
